We are seeking folks who can speak on these specific topics:conflict resolution, anger management, building and maintaining relationships, emotional IQ, dealing with guilt/shame, self-esteem, stress management, balance in life, and coping strategiesThis can be a re-occurring or a one-time workshop/class/group. Our participants benefit from the expertise of community members and we are always interested in helping them become more well-rounded individuals.

Harvest Farm - Tutor
Help men reach their educational goals by tutoring! GED tutors for Math (basic algebra), reading and grammar are needed, as well as computer tutors (basic Word and basic internet/email). Days are flexible. You just need knowledge in one of these subjects and a willingness to provide patient encouragement. Ages 18 and over only.
The Crossing - Adult Tutor
Change Maker volunteers will work with program participants in the New Life Program and STAR Transitional Program at The Crossing. Tutors will assist program participants through one on one tutoring in general education based on the needs of the participant. Topics may include reading, writing, math, and other subjects. Volunteer tutors will be scheduled for one hour sessions based off of their availability.

The Crossing - GED Tutor
Change Maker volunteers will work with program participants in the New Life Program and STAR Transitional Program at The Crossing. Tutors will assist program participants in completing pre-assigned GED academic course work that will help lead to a future career path. Tutors are needed once a week on Thursday at 1:00 PM 2:00 PM. Tutors can also schedule a one on one weekly tutoring session, facilitated by program staff, according to the volunteers availability.
The Crossing - Soft Skills and Computer Skills Tutor
Our Life Skills, Education, & Career team is in need of volunteer tutors. Share your life experience and computer skills with our program participants! Volunteers are needed once a week Monday through Thursday from 10:00 10:45AM (Soft Skills) and/or 10:45 11:30AM (Computer Skills). This position requires basic knowledge of how to operate and utilize a PC and Microsoft Office software. Duties may include one-on-one assistance using a computer. Skills needed are logging on, opening the internet, searching the internet, basic Microsoft Word, etc.
The Crossing - Whiz Kids Tutor
Change Maker volunteers are paired one on one with children ages 6-12 as a tutor working specifically in areas of reading and math. Training and curriculum materials are provided. We partner with Whiz Kids to provide tutoring, Bible lessons, and other activities. Whiz Kids' mission is to help improve the lives of disadvantaged kids through academic tutoring, positive mentoring relationships, and spiritual nurturing. Volunteers are needed on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, August through April.
The Crossing - Youth Music Teacher
Denver Rescue Mission is seeking skilled music teachers to lead youth, ages 8 to 18, in individual music lessons and/or bi-annual group performances. Volunteers in this position will serve the youth in our STAR Transitional Program by providing a healthy creative outlet for the leisure time while also building meaningful relationships. Volunteers are needed for one to three hours every other week from September through April. Available times are Saturday mornings or Monday through Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.We are currently in need of voice, guitar, or keyboard teachers.
The Crossing - Youth Tutor
Change Maker volunteers build positive relationships, tutor students in a variety of academic subjects, and encourage students in their educational development. Students are ages 3-18. Volunteers are needed for one evening on Monday through Thursday from 4:30 - 6:00 PM, August through May.
