Family Refugee Services - Group Mentor
Family Refugee Services needs mentor teams of 4-6 individuals to meet with a refugee family for a few hours each month totaling at least 4 hours per month over a 6-month period. After training, the mentor team will offer emotional and relational support, assist the refugee family with practical needs, and help the family positvely transition into and acclimate to their new community. The mentor team has the opportunity to learn about other cultures and make new friends. This program is in partnership with the resettlement agency, Lutheran Family Services.

Family Rescue Ministry - Group Mentoring

Mentor teams offer friendship, encouragement & support to the family/senior. The time commitment is 7 mentor meetings in 6 months (about once a month). In these meetings, topics such as basic budgeting, goal setting and parenting are discussed. This is a wonderful opportunity for a family or small group to care for those in need through relationship development.
